He was a Protestant by faith. Surviving are his wife, Mary Morris Devore; four sons, Herbert and Albert, both of Smithfield, Gary of Mingo Junction and Billy at home; two daughters, Mrs. Chip (Eddi) Brautigan of Brilliant and Mrs. Larry (Sarah) Powers of Wintersville; seven brothers, James, Donald and Jack, all of Mingo Junction, Charles and Frederick, both of RD 1, Mingo Junction, Robert of New Alexandria and Richard of Brilliant; two sisters, Rose Butler of RD 1, Mingo Junction, and Mrs. Marvin (Katherine) Anshultz of Mingo Junction; and three grandchildren. He was born May 16, 1929, in Mingo Junction, a son of the late James and Katherine Snyder Devore. He was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Odell, who died within the past five years. Friends may call at the Blaschalk Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.Sunday; services there Monday at 11 a.m.; the Rev. Jack Jackson; New Alexandria Cemetery. His favorite charities were the American Cancer Society and Father Flannigan's Boys Town. Anderson, entered into rest at the home, 317 North Fourth Street on Saturday at 2:10 a.m. Her death followed ten days illness with flu and pneumonia. She was born at Patterson's Mills, PA, on October 13, 1878. She was the daughter of Thomas and Anna Coleman Price; both deceased. She was married to Mr. Anderson October 22, 1902. the husband and these children survive a devoted and loving wife and mother whose memory will ever be cherished by them, Mary, Martha Grace, wife of John Sperry of New Castle, PA; Margaret Virginia, Catherine, Eleanor and John P. Two sisters and a brother also survive, Mrs. Van Pettibone of Eldersville, PA; Richard and Eleanor Price of this city. She was a member of St. Paul's church. She was a woman of fine personal qualities and her death will be regretted by her many friends, who extend sympathy to the family in this hour of sadness.   • Theresa Nogay, 87, passed away on May 6, 2013 at her daughter Geralyn's home in Charlotte, North Carolina surrounded her children after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Nogay in 1980. Theresa was born May 5, 1926, and raised in Weirton, the daughter of Walter and Frances Gromek, both of whom emigrated from Poland. She attended Sacred Heart of Mary grade school, Weir High School and West Liberty State College. Theresa was the mother of eight children, one of whom, Mary Evelyn Nogay, predeceased her in 1960. Surviving Theresa are seven children, twenty grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her surviving children include Nancy (Michael) Pevets of Oak Harbor, Ohio; Deborah (Byron ) Campbell of Huntersville, NC; Cindy (Steve) Carey of Charlotte, NC; Beth (George) Carenbauer of Charleston, WV; Michael (Robin) Nogay of Weirton; Joseph (Cathy) Nogay of Weirton and Geralyn (Scott) Brumley of Charlotte, NC. Theresa is also survived by her sisters, Irene Crago and Bernice Zulkoski, both of Weirton. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Joseph Gromek, Stephen Gromek, Raymond Gromek and Stanley Gromek, and by her sisters, Ann Gromek, Gladys Klakos Zamojski, and Sophie Lengyel. Theresa taught Catholic catechism classes for over 25 years in the CCD programs at Sacred Heart of Mary and St. Paul's Churches in Weirton. She was a contributing writer to St. Gerard magazine and loved tending to her garde...
