Zach Bryan has added more dates to his upcoming headlining The Burn, Burn, Burn Tour after selling out every show.
When the rising country star announced his upcoming North American touron Thursday (Jan. 19),he made a promise to fans that tickets won’t be available via Ticketmaster. Zach has been extremely outspoken in his disapproval of the ticketing company because of the high ticket prices and large availability for scalpers to claim the tickets before real fans.
He recently revealed to his supportive fanbase that this decision has proved to be successful.
“Who knew you could sell out tickets at a reasonable price, to real fans, in a fair way. With no arrogance attached and a lot of people pissed at me. we did it. Due to overwhelming demand, I’m going to add a few shows to The Burn, Burn, Burn Tour. If you registered for Philly, Tulsa, New York City or Duluth, we will be sending out emails for the additional shos today so be on the look out.”
“I wish I could play more to meet the demands but the boys & I only have so much to give,” he added.
Fans who were looking to secure their tickets had until Jan. 29 to sign up for the Fair AXSregistration. The selected fans were then notified via email beginning Feb. 13, and tickets were sold on a first-come, first-served basis.This not only gave fans a fair shot at claiming their ticket to his upcoming shows, but it also offered a more attainable price.
“Thank you all so much for your patience during this process, no one has ever done this before at this scale and that’s something I’m extremely proud of. Not one ticket was sold for more than $156, at their absolute highest, including taxes and fees.”
In conclusion, Bryan further emphasized, “There will continue to be no tickets for sale on scalping sites. Fair ticketing for all, for an almost sold out tour.”
In sharing the news on social media, Bryan also explained that selling out the tour this fast was never his expectation, but because of the loyalty of his fanbase and their appreciation for his ongoing efforts, he achieved the ultimate goal.
“I didn’t care about selling out the tour in thirty seconds, I cared about people getting reasonably priced tickets,” Bryan wrote in his caption before adding, “We sold all the tickets in 3 waves to actual fans, we hired teams to limit bots, and we sacrificed a lot of personal things to give real people, real seats. Thank you guys so, so much.”
On Christmas Eve, he surprised fans with the release of his project,All My Homies Hate Ticketmaster (Live at Red Rocks). With the unveiling of this live collection, Bryan also shared a statement to social media, explaining the reasoning behind the title.
“Seems like there is a massive issue with fair ticket prices to live shows lately. I have met kids at my shows who have paid upwards of four hundred bucks to be there and I’m done with it,” he wrote on Instagram. “I’ve decided to play a limited number of headline shows next year to which I’ve done all I can to make prices as cheap as possible and to prove to people tickets don’t have to cost $450 to see a good and honest show.
“I believe working class people should still be able to afford tickets to shows,” the “Something in the Orange” singer continued in his statement. “I am so so tired of people saying things can’t be done about this massive issue while huge monopolies sit there stealing money from working class people.”
He concluded his message by saying, “Just did everything I possibly could to make tickets more affordable.”
Later this year, Bryan is also expected to drop his next album,Writers and Fighters.This project was originally slated for release in February 2023, butin an updated statement, he revealed that it won’t be meeting that deadline anymore.
“Decided not to release an album in February. I love you guys and I apologize I said something I didn’t stick to. Mercy here please. Going to let my life play out,” he wrote honestly.
Despite the delay, listeners still have a slew of music to enjoy from Zach Bryan, who spent 2022 droppinghis major label debut album,American Heartbreak,his9-track EP,Summertime Blues, his live album, and a slew of new singles.
Zach Bryan’s upcoming tour will serve as his longest-running to date. He is slated to headline some of the country’s most popular arenas and amphitheaters from coast-to-coast, beginning May 10 in Charlottesville, VA.
He will also make an appearance at a number of festivals like Two Step Inn Festival, Railbird Festival, Summerfest, Windy City Smokeout, and more.
