Hodges Serena M. Hodges, 83, of 4180 Center St. NE died yesterdsay at Salem Hospital Memorial Unit. She was born near Soledad, Ca. and taught in the California public school system.

An ordained minister of the Assemblies of God, she served as a missionary in Jerusalem for 22 years. She taught Bible and Missions in Southeastern Bible Institute, Lakeland, Fla. and in Central Bible Institute, Springfield, Mo. She came to Oregon in 1957 to teach in the Canyonville Bible Academy. Retiring in 1971, she moved to Salem, where she has been active in women's Bible classes until her last illness in November 1980.She was a member of the Christian Center Church.

She is survived by three neices and three nephews in California and New Mexico. Memorial services will at 8:15 a.m. Sunday at the Christian Center Church, 2808 Market St. NE.Interment will be private. Funeral arrangements are by HowellEdwards-Doerksen mortuary.

MOUNT ANGEL- Viola Seifer, 81, died Thursday at her home, Mount Angel Towers. She was born in Osceola, Wis. She came to Gervais in 1937 from Desart, N. and moved to Mount Angel in 1977. She was a member of the VFW Auxilary and was certified as a Gold Star Mother during World War II.

She is survived by her son, Dale, Echo; sister, Rosella Joyce, Stillwater, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. D. He came to Woodburn in 1937. He attended the University of Portland and received a masters degree in education administration from the University of Washington. He was a school administrator in Quincy for 27 years. He was a World War II veteran, a member of the Rotary Club, and St.

Pious Catholic church in Quincy. He is survived by his wife; Kathleen, Quincy, sons; Robert, San Marcus, Texas, John, San Clemente, James, Quincy; and daughter, Mary Jean Gorman, Seattle; mother; Mary Gorman, Woodburn; and brothers, Thomas Gorman Woodburn, Joseph, Balitmore, James, Mexico City, John, Portland; sisters, Helen Anderson, Mount Angel, and Mary Baker, Seattle; and three grandchildren.
